I'm a family man at heart. I admit my world revolves around my wife Libby and our 3 hooligans...Eli, Eden and Silas. They are easy to love. I'm trying to learn to love the rest of you. I also like to ask questions.

Wow, this is a concept I struggle with every day…I used to work in Manhattan and ride the subway daily. Passing the homeless, moms with kids, it was too much. I used to come home broke almost every day to the point that I stopped carrying cash.
Now I am a mom. I would love to teach my daughters generousity and grattitude to life in general and certainly to God. I look at a sunset and I look at my Emma and ask her, what do we say when we look at this and she says, “Thank you God.”
But having lunch with strangers? My instincts as a person say wow, I would love for the girls and I to do this together. But then my mom instincts kick in and I read the newspaper and say no way. I am too afraid to expose them to a possible predator.
But I am now looking into soup kitchens that could use volunteers. Or even our church pantry where they can anonomously (sp?) give of themselves. I am so glad I read about your projects. You’ve inspired me to get back giving again. Thanks! Love to you. And peace.
